In a bold declaration, Shiv Sena leader Anandrao Adsul has threatened to challenge BJP leader Navneet Rana's caste certificate in the Supreme Court. Adsul has given an ultimatum of 10-15 days for the assurance made to him before the Lok Sabha elections to be honored.
Responding to media queries, Adsul pointed to a purported promise by the BJP to appoint him as a governor in exchange for withdrawing his candidacy for the Amravati seat. Despite Rana's loss to Congress' Balwant Wankhede, Adsul continues to contest the validity of Rana’s caste certificate, validated by both the Mumbai District Caste Certificate Scrutiny Committee and reinstated by the Supreme Court in April.
The controversy deepened as Ravi Rana, Navneet Rana's husband, dismissed Adsul's threats, suggesting that Adsul has 'lost his mind' and requires medical attention. The political tension between the two camps continues to escalate as deadlines loom.
