In a significant move, the Supreme Court has granted bail to Manish Sisodia, eliciting various political reactions. Delhi Minister and AAP leader Saurabh Bharadwaj declared it a monumental day for Indian democracy, emphasizing the absence of proven criminal charges against Sisodia during his 17-month detention.

Congress MP Manickam Tagore congratulated Sisodia, condemning the BJP for allegedly misusing the Enforcement Directorate as a political weapon against the opposition. Tagore pointed out the extended wait for justice in Sisodia's case as indicative of systemic issues.

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal's wife, Sunita Kejriwal, added a spiritual note, suggesting divine justice may be slow but certain. AAP MP Swati Maliwal expressed optimism for Sisodia's return to leadership in the Delhi government.

However, BJP leader Dushyant Kumar Gautam tempered the celebrations by noting that bail does not equate to exoneration, maintaining that the investigation into the alleged irregularities in Delhi's now-scrapped excise policy continues. Sisodia was arrested in February 2023 on charges related to criminal conspiracy and policy manipulation.
