After spending 17 months in Tihar jail, AAP leader Manish Sisodia was released on Friday evening and immediately met with Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's family. The reunion, held at the CM's Civil Lines residence, was attended by a large gathering of party officials and supporters.

In a heartwarming moment, Sisodia embraced Kejriwal's wife and children, Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh, party general secretary Sandeep Pathak, and minister Saurabh Bharadwaj. He also paid his respects to the Chief Minister's parents by touching their feet.

The Supreme Court granted bail to Sisodia earlier in the day. Post his release, Sisodia expressed gratitude to the power of the Constitution and democracy for securing his freedom, and he voiced optimism for Kejriwal’s release from jail, who is currently detained in connection with the same excise policy case.
