India on Saturday inaugurated its resident mission in Albania in a strategic move to increase its presence in the Balkan peninsula.
The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) announced that the new mission in Tirana, Albania, became operational on August 10.
The MEA highlighted that this development would enhance India's diplomatic reach, deepen political relations, facilitate bilateral trade, and assist in economic and multilateral cooperation. The mission will also promote people-to-people connections and support the Indian community in Albania.
