The Samajwadi Party has announced the appointment of election in-charges for six critical Assembly by-poll seats. In a strategic move, National General Secretary Shivpal Singh Yadav will oversee Ambedkar Nagar's Kathari Assembly.
Awadhesh Prasad and Lal Bihari Yadav have been designated for Ayodhya's Milkipur seat. MP Virendra Singh is assigned to Mirzapur's Majhawan Assembly, Chandradev Yadav to Mainpuri's Karhal Assembly, Indrajit Saroj to Phulpur, and Rajendra Kumar to Seemamau.
With these appointments, it is evident that the Samajwadi Party plans to field its own candidates in 6 out of the 10 seats set for by-polls. Of these seats, five were previously held by the Samajwadi Party, three by the BJP, and one each by the Rashtriya Lok Dal and the Nishad Party, both NDA allies. (ANI)
