Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, called on President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Tuesday. This significant meeting is the first since Gandhi took over as the opposition leader in the lower house of Parliament.
The office of the President confirmed the visit in a post on X, sharing a picture of the event. The post stated, ''Leader of Opposition, Lok Sabha, Shri Rahul Gandhi called on President Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan.''
In a separate post, it was also mentioned that Union Minister for Jal Shakti C R Patil and Minister of State for Jal Shakti V Somanna paid a call on the President, indicating a day of significant political activity at the presidential residence.
