Ajit Pawar Discusses Son's Potential Candidacy for Baramati

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar stated that his son's candidacy for the Baramati assembly constituency would be decided by his party, NCP. Ajit, after representing the constituency for multiple terms, expressed disinterest in contesting elections again. Other leaders, however, indicated possibilities of him running in future elections.

Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has left it up to the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) to decide whether his son, Jay Pawar, will contest from the Baramati assembly constituency. Ajit has been a long-term representative of Baramati but expressed disinterest in contesting further elections.

NCP state chief Sunil Tatkare later clarified that Ajit Pawar did not explicitly state he would not contest future elections. Ajit himself emphasized that decisions would ultimately rest with the NCP parliamentary board if his supporters desired his candidacy.

Aside from electoral discussions, Ajit Pawar debunked rumors of discord with Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, and mentioned the successful rollout of the 'Ladki Bahin' scheme, benefiting 35 lakh women. The Pawar family dynamics remain under scrutiny with possible future election strategies involving family members.
