Delhi Home Minister Kailash Gahlot commemorated Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal as a modern freedom fighter during the 78th Independence Day celebration at Chhatrasal stadium. Gahlot expressed his dismay at Kejriwal's imprisonment, describing him as a leader punished for working tirelessly for the people of Delhi.

Gahlot emphasized the strides made under Kejriwal's leadership in sectors such as health, education, and public transport. He highlighted the introduction of 24x7 free electricity, expansion of hospital bed capacity, and the launch of initiatives to combat pollution with a fleet of electric buses, labelling Delhi as the 'EV Capital.'

Despite political challenges, Gahlot assured that the Kejriwal government remains devoted to serving the people. He called for contemplation on whether government resources should benefit a few capitalists or the nation's masses, underscoring the ongoing work and vision for a better future in Delhi.
