Nepal Foreign Minister Arzu Deuba Rana is set to embark on a five-day official visit to India starting Sunday. The trip, initially planned for a health checkup, gained official status following a nod from the Nepali cabinet.
The visit marks Rana's first official foray abroad since assuming her ministerial role. She will hold talks with Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, among other notable figures, as confirmed by Foreign Ministry sources. The cabinet's approval came during a meeting chaired by Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli.
Rana's visit follows Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri's recent trip to Nepal and includes a scheduled health checkup at a prominent private hospital in New Delhi. Rana's medical visit is linked to a previous operation for hyperparathyroidism.
