Odisha Congress Joins Nationwide Protest Against Hindenburg Allegations

The Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee announced its participation in a nationwide protest over Hindenburg Research’s allegations against SEBI Chairperson Madhabi Puri Buch and her husband. The protest will occur on August 22, demanding a Joint Parliamentary Committee probe while the BJP claims it's a conspiracy by the opposition.

The Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee announced on Sunday that it will join nationwide protests concerning the latest allegations by Hindenburg Research. The Committee intends to gherao the Enforcement Directorate's office in the city on August 22.

Hindenburg Research, on August 10, accused SEBI Chairperson Madhabi Puri Buch and her husband Dhaval Buch of holding interests in obscure offshore funds implicated in the alleged Adani money siphoning scandal.

The allegations have ignited a political confrontation. The Congress and other INDIA bloc parties are calling for her dismissal and a Joint Parliamentary Committee investigation, while the BJP has accused the opposition of attempting to destabilize India's financial system.

Following a meeting at Congress Bhavan, former MLA Mohd. Moquim announced that party leader Rahul Gandhi has been advocating for the protection of the Constitution and democracy. He urged all district Congress presidents to join the protest scheduled for August 22.
