Champai Soren, a prominent leader in Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), spoke out on Sunday about the 'bitter humiliation' he faced during his tenure as Chief Minister, which he said pushed him to explore alternative paths.
Soren made this statement shortly after reaching Delhi, amid speculation about his potential shift to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). 'After so much humiliation, I was forced to look for an alternative path,' Soren posted on social media.
The ex-CM expressed his deep sense of betrayal by his party's leadership, particularly when all his government programmes for the first week of July were cancelled without his knowledge. He also revealed that he was unaware of the agenda for a legislative party meeting where he was asked to resign, a moment that severely hurt his self-respect.
