Former New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern will attend the Democratic National Convention starting Monday in Chicago, according to New Zealand media reports. The convention will see the nomination of Kamala Harris as the Democratic presidential candidate.

Ardern will also join a panel hosted by the Democrat-aligned think tank and advocacy organization, the Centre for American Progress Action Fund.

Since stepping down as prime minister, Ardern has remained mostly out of the public eye in New Zealand, but has completed fellowships at Harvard, joined the board of trustees of the Earthshot Prize, and become the patron of the Christchurch Call Foundation.
