The political landscape in Maharashtra is seeing heightened tensions as the ruling Mahayuti coalition faces significant internal strife. On Monday, NCP (SP) spokesperson Mahesh Tapase claimed that the coalition will disintegrate before the upcoming assembly elections due to unresolved rifts among the Shiv Sena, BJP, and Ajit Pawar-led NCP.
Tapase cited instances such as Shiv Sena leader Ramdas Kadam's derogatory remarks towards BJP's PWD Minister Ravindra Chavan and BJP workers waving black flags at Deputy CM Ajit Pawar's convoy. Kadam criticized Chavan for the Mumbai-Goa Highway's poor condition, calling him a 'useless minister'.
Tapase further alleged that the coalition's lack of coordination, mutual respect, and genuine concern for Maharashtra's welfare spell its imminent downfall. He also noted dissatisfaction among top leaders about Ajit Pawar's attempts to control the 'Ladki Bahin Yojana' and exclusion of opposition leaders from its launch event.
