House GOP Alleges Biden's Impeachable Offenses Amid Political Dispute

House Republicans released a report alleging that President Joe Biden committed impeachable offenses related to influence-peddling from 2014 onwards. Despite the findings, it remains uncertain if a vote to impeach will occur before the election. Biden’s expected departure aligns with his decision not to seek reelection.

House GOP Alleges Biden's Impeachable Offenses Amid Political Dispute

The U.S. House of Representatives Republicans have issued a report alleging Democratic President Joe Biden committed impeachable offenses. The 291-page document, compiled by three House committees, suggests Biden profited from an influence-peddling scheme dating back to his tenure as vice president in 2014.

Despite these claims, it is unclear if Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson will schedule a vote on Biden's impeachment ahead of the Nov. 5 election, where former President Donald Trump faces Vice President Kamala Harris. Even if the House approves impeachment, the Democratic-controlled Senate is unlikely to convict Biden.

Democrats argue the report is political retribution, pointing to Trump's two previous impeachments. House Republicans assert Biden used his influence to benefit his son Hunter's business dealings in Ukraine, China, Russia, and other nations. Critics from both parties highlight the lack of hard evidence from the inquiry, which began last December.
