Nepal's Foreign Minister Arzu Rana Deuba handed an invitation to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi from her Nepalese counterpart, K P Sharma Oli, for a state visit to Nepal, according to an official statement.

During her official visit to India, Rana met with Modi and conveyed greetings and best wishes from Prime Minister Oli. She presented the formal invitation for Modi to visit Nepal, highlighting the importance of further consolidating Nepal-India relations.

Rana also held a bilateral meeting with External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, where they reviewed Nepal-India relations, including trade, transit, energy, and investment. The two sides agreed to continue engaging through regular bilateral mechanisms. Modi congratulated Rana on her Foreign Minister appointment and appreciated the ongoing high-level engagements between the two nations.
