Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia sharply criticized the Congress, accusing the party of being anti-public and supportive of oppressors and corrupt individuals. Speaking at a Krishna Janmashtami event in Gwalior on Monday, Scindia argued that the Congress opposes justice and welfare initiatives.
Scindia's remarks followed the Congress' condemnation of the Madhya Pradesh authorities for demolishing the house of Shahzad Ali, who was accused of participating in violent protests in Chhatarpur. Authorities claimed Ali's house was illegally constructed, a day after a protest against derogatory remarks by spiritual leader Ramgiri Maharaj.
Addressing local issues, Scindia mentioned the upcoming regional industry conclave on August 28, which aims to spur further development in Gwalior. He also highlighted several ongoing projects, including the approval of the Gwalior-Agra Expressway from the Centre.
