With elections due in Punjab next year, the Congress will hold 'yatras' in all the 117 Assembly segments in the state to reach out to the people, officials said on Saturday. Congress general secretary in charge of Punjab, Bhupesh Baghel, said a three-day 'yatra' will be held in each Assembly constituency to know the issues facing the people and their expectations. Baghel on Saturday presided over a daylong brainstorming session of the Congress, which was attended by senior party leaders from across Punjab. Speaking to reporters later, Baghel said there were suggestions that the Leader of Opposition in the Punjab Assembly, Partap Singh Bajwa, should attend the concluding programme of the yatras once they are wrapped up. Baghel also said that the Congress will publish a chargesheet against the AAP government in the state. During the meeting, the party discussed the ''sorry state of affairs in Punjab, particularly the widespread corruption and deteriorating law and order, where nobody was feeling secure'', Baghel said. Talking to the media, Punjab Congress president Amrinder Singh Raja Warring said the BJP and the AAP were playing games to fool the people of Punjab. He also said that it was surprising to see Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann levelling serious charges against the BJP without taking any action on them.
