JMM Vows Hemant Soren's Leadership Post BJP Setback

The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) announced on Friday that the next government in Jharkhand will be under the leadership of Hemant Soren, dismissing the BJP's recent political maneuvers. The declaration came shortly after former chief minister Champai Soren switched allegiance to the BJP in Ranchi.

JMM's central spokesperson, Supriyo Bhattacharya, declared at a press conference that, 'Despite its ploy, BJP will not succeed in its mission. The next government in Jharkhand will be formed under the leadership of Hemant Soren.' The state assembly elections are slated for later this year.

Bhattacharya added that the people have placed their trust in JMM to protect Jharkhand's identity and tribal aspirations. Addressing Champai Soren's departure, he expressed regret and extended best wishes to his former colleague.
