In a development that continues to stir Kerala's political landscape, ruling LDF MLA P V Anvar has made grave allegations against top IPS officers. These claims have kept the state in a state of political upheaval as the Left legislator met with Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, presenting his complaint in writing after a nearly hour-long session.
Anvar stated post-meeting that he explained the matter in detail to the CM, expressed his confidence in a fair and honest investigation, and added that his role in the issue had concluded. He underscored that he would cooperate with any ensuing investigation and handed a copy of his complaint to CPI(M) State Secretary M V Govindan.
The opposition, including both the Congress-led UDF and BJP, have dismissed the state-initiated probe as a 'farce' and have called for an investigation by central agencies. Questions have been raised on the efficacy of the probe as ADGP M R AjithKumar and the CM's political secretary P Sasi remain in their posts. Refuting these allegations, LDF convener T P Ramakrishnan asserted that such claims have been debunked by the public in the past.
