Former WFI chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh has levied serious allegations against wrestlers Vinesh Phogat and Bajrang Punia, accusing them of being manipulated by the Congress to further their political aims.
Singh claims that after the wrestlers joined the Congress, the opposition party used them as pawns to take control of the Wrestling Federation of India and attack the BJP.
He bases these claims on a past electoral defeat and ongoing grievances against him by Congress members, including Bhupinder Hooda and Deepender Hooda.
