Kunbi Community Urged to Mobilize Support for Own Candidates
Chandrapur MP Pratibha Dhanorkar urged the Kunbi community to support their members in elections. She emphasized ensuring a Kunbi candidate wins the Brahmapuri assembly seat, currently represented by Vijay Wadettiwar, a non-Kunbi. Dhanorkar also called for similar action in Gadchiroli and warned against false assurances from other leaders.

Chandrapur MP Pratibha Dhanorkar has called on the Kunbi community to rally behind their own candidates in upcoming elections. Speaking at a community function, Dhanorkar emphasized the importance of electing a Kunbi representative for the Brahmapuri assembly seat, which is currently held by Vijay Wadettiwar, who is not a Kunbi.
Dhanorkar urged the community to undertake similar efforts in neighboring Gadchiroli district. She warned against falling for false assurances from other political figures and stressed the need for unity among Kunbis regardless of political affiliations. 'The tradition of non-Kunbis being elected from Brahmapuri and Gadchiroli must change,' she stated.
In a related address, BJP MLC Parinay Fuke assured he would strive to ensure his party nominates a Kunbi candidate from Brahmapuri.
