After the Aam Aadmi Party unveiled its first list of candidates for the Haryana Assembly elections, tensions over a potential alliance with Congress appeared to dissolve. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Om Prakash Dhankar dismissed AAP's prospects, claiming they would have faced defeat even in alliance with Congress.

Speaking to ANI, Dhankar asserted that AAP alone would not secure any seats in Haryana, stating, "AAP and Congress have lost in Delhi even after an alliance. In Haryana too, they would have lost had they come together. Now that the alliance hasn't happened, AAP won't be able to win a single seat. A party which cannot get us water is of no use to us." On Sunday, AAP released its first list of candidates, solidifying that talks of an alliance with Congress have fallen through.

AAP's state chief Sushil Gupta announced that a second list of candidates would be released by Monday evening, noting that while the party had awaited the outcome of potential alliance talks, time was running out for filing nominations. Meanwhile, BJP has fielded Om Prakash Dhankar from the Badli Assembly constituency against Congress' Kuldeep Vats.

Kuldeep Vats, in the presence of Deepender Hooda, filed his nomination today. Deepender Hooda criticized the BJP's governance over the past decade, alleging misgovernance. "The issue is 10 years of misgovernance by the BJP government. In 10 years, the BJP has derailed Haryana from the path of progress and development. Today, Haryana leads in unemployment, crime, and intoxication. The state is number one in the country for insulting every section," Hooda said. Voting for the 90-member Haryana legislative assembly will be held on October 5, with the nomination deadline on September 12 and vote counting on October 8.
