The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Tuesday unveiled its second list of nine candidates for the Haryana assembly elections, marking a significant turn with former minister Chhatar Pal Singh now contesting from Barwala after switching from the BJP.
This announcement follows Monday's release of the first list of 20 candidates. Prolonged seat-sharing discussions with the Congress bore no fruit, prompting AAP to go it alone.
The finalized list features notable names: Rita Bamaniya for Sadhaura, Kishan Bajaj for Thanesar, and Hawa Singh for Indri, among others. The election for the 90-member Haryana Assembly is set for October 5, with nominations closing on September 12.
