Yechury, 72, passed away at AIIMS following prolonged illness. He had been in critical condition for several days and was on respiratory support.
Oli, in a post on X, expressed his deep sadness over Yechury's passing. He recalled their multiple meetings and praised Yechury as a steadfast supporter of democratic movements. Oli extended his heartfelt condolences to Yechury's family, comrades, and the CPI(M).
