New Delhi Chief Minister Atishi, who took office on Saturday, faces a number of pressing issues, including restarting stalled flagship projects and launching new initiatives ahead of the imminent Assembly elections.

The prolonged judicial custody of former chief minister Arvind Kejriwal has resulted in significant delays in the city's services and infrastructure projects. Atishi’s administration must now focus on addressing these delays, ensuring continuity of basic services and infrastructure developments amid a reported fund crunch.

Apart from addressing these fundamental issues, Atishi will prioritize implementing the Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana, which promises an honorarium to eligible women. She will also facilitate the allocation of ministerial portfolios, resume doorstep delivery of services, and push policies like the Delhi EV Policy 2.0 and the Solar Policy. Establishing a cooperative relationship with Lieutenant Governor V.K. Saxena remains a crucial task for her governance strategy, ensuring projects like mohalla clinics and premium bus services come to fruition.
