Delhi Chief Minister Atishi, along with five cabinet ministers, took the oath of office on Saturday, urging the public to ensure that her predecessor, Arvind Kejriwal, returns to the top post.
Atishi condemned the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), accusing them of orchestrating a 'conspiracy' against Kejriwal. Addressing a press conference after her swearing-in ceremony, she highlighted Kejriwal's initiatives for Delhi, including free healthcare and women's transport services.
The newly sworn-in ministers, while retaining their portfolios from the Kejriwal administration, face the challenge of accelerating government projects that have slowed. BJP representatives have urged the Atishi government to fulfill past promises, while extending their best wishes and voicing skepticism about her administration.
