Former Jammu and Kashmir governor Satya Pal Malik met with Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray on Sunday, pledging his support for the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) in the upcoming Maharashtra assembly elections.
Addressing reporters, Malik, known for his outspoken criticism of the current administration, voiced strong confidence in the MVA's victory and predicted that the ruling BJP would be 'wiped out' in the elections, which are expected to take place in November.
Malik advised the MVA's allied parties—Shiv Sena (UBT), Congress, and Sharad Pawar's NCP (SP)—to stay united and make necessary adjustments for the polls. Malik, who played a key role in the abrogation of Jammu and Kashmir's special status, met Thackeray at his Mumbai residence to discuss the current political situation in Maharashtra.
