Congress National President Malikarjun Kharge has vowed to stay alive until Prime Minister Narendra Modi is removed from office. The statement came after Kharge fell ill during a public meeting in Kathua. Despite feeling suffocated due to extreme heat, he completed his speech, reassuring the crowd of his determination.
Bharatiya Janata Party leader Nalin Kohli responded, stating that Kharge has the right to hold a political agenda and emphasized that issues related to health should not be mixed with political matters. Kohli noted that Prime Minister Modi had called Kharge out of courtesy following his health scare, which he said should not be seen as a political gesture.
Kharge, speaking to the crowd, criticized the BJP-led central government, accusing it of running a remote-controlled administration and failing to deliver prosperity in the last decade. The Congress President remains focused on restoring statehood and continued his campaign after resting briefly.
