BJP's Praveen Kumar Triumphs in Bir-Bagehra Ward

Praveen Kumar, a BJP candidate, secured a win in the Bir-Bagehra ward of Sujanpur block, Hamirpur. He defeated Congress candidate Pyar Chand by 41 votes. The seat was previously vacated by Rana, who had become an MLA. BJP expressed gratitude, stating the victory signifies loss of faith in Congress.

Praveen Kumar, contesting under the BJP banner, clinched victory in the Bir-Bagehra ward in Sujanpur block, Hamirpur district, on Monday.

The election, held on Sunday, saw Kumar outperform Congress rival Pyar Chand by a margin of 41 votes. The vacancy arose after the previous holder, Rana, became an MLA from Sujanpur in a recent bye-election.

Rana had earlier defeated Rajendra Rana in the bypolls. Post-victory, the BJP extended its gratitude towards the residents of Bir-Bagehra for their endorsement, interpreting the result as a sign of declining trust in the Congress party.
