Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Monday expressed his sorrow over the death of Himachal Pradesh soldier Vinay, who was killed while fighting terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir.

Vinay, a native of Pohal village in Mandi district, sacrificed his life to defend the country's unity and integrity, Sukhu said in a statement. The CM further stated that the nation remains indebted to Vinay for his supreme sacrifice.

Sukhu assured that the state government stands firm with Vinay's bereaved family during this distressing time and will offer all possible assistance to support them.
