The Election Commission of India (ECI) has categorically denied allegations made by Congress leader Jairam Ramesh, who claimed delays in updating the Haryana Assembly election results on the ECI's website.
According to the ECI, the vote counting adheres to Rule 60 of the Conduct of Election Rules, involving candidates, observers, and micro-observers, with no proof of alleged delays. The Commission pointed out that Ramesh's memorandum lacked factual evidence to support his claims.
The ECI reinforced its stance by indicating consistent updates every five minutes across constituencies, rejecting the accusations as unfounded. It labeled the claims as a means to pressure the administration, while Ramesh maintained his assertions on social media and in official communications, urging timely updates.
