The Haryana Assembly is set for an eclectic mix of new members, with a former IAS officer, an Olympian wrestler, and a former jailer joining its ranks as first-time participants. Despite anti-incumbency sentiments, the ruling BJP achieved a hat-trick of victories to stave off a Congress comeback.

The BJP secured a record 48 seats, outperforming the Congress by 11. Other parties, such as the JJP and the AAP, faced setbacks, while the INLD managed a mere two seats. Solo contenders like AAP saw disappointing results.

Among the notable winners, retired IAS officer Chander Parkash and wrestler Vinesh Phogat emerged victorious, bringing fresh faces to Haryana's political landscape. Meanwhile, AAP's solo attempt yielded no victories in the recent polls.
