Amid ongoing tensions within the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) alliance over seat-sharing for the Maharashtra assembly elections, key Congress and Shiv Sena (UBT) figures held discussions with NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar in Mumbai. Sources suggest an agreement could be finalized soon, following necessary consensus-building among parties.

As discussions focused on 10 to 12 contentious seats, Congress's Naseem Khan indicated that talks were progressing to finalize the remaining 10% of seats. Senior Congress delegates are currently in Delhi for central election committee meetings, aiming to resolve outstanding issues.

Coinciding with the BJP's release of its candidate list, which sparked accusations of promoting dynastic politics, internal disputes within MVA escalated. Political leaders urged restraint to prevent further discord ahead of the November 20 election nomination deadlines.
