JD(S) leader H D Kumaraswamy has hit back at the ruling Congress party's allegations of him and his son, Nikhil Kumaraswamy, being 'migrants' in Channapatna, which is heading for by-polls on November 13.
Kumaraswamy questioned the Congress party's standards, citing Priyanka Gandhi's candidacy from Kerala's Wayanad for the Lok Sabha by-poll, and pointed to Sonia Gandhi's nationality.
He defended his roots in Karnataka, arguing he has been nurtured in Ramanagara, despite being born in Hassan. His son Nikhil faces Congress' C P Yogeeshwara, a recent convert from BJP, in the upcoming election.
