Akhilesh Yadav, president of the Samajwadi Party, leveled serious allegations against the BJP government on Wednesday, claiming it has torn apart democracy and the Constitution in Uttar Pradesh. He accused the administration of governing the state through police force.
Yadav condemned the violent treatment of lawyers in Ghaziabad by police, who lathi-charged them following an altercation with a judge. He highlighted the growing authoritarianism in the state, indicating the injustice faced by various groups under BJP rule.
The SP leader further accused the BJP of divisive politics, claiming it damaged the justice system's integrity and stifled youth employment opportunities. He suggested the delay in the Milkipur bypoll was a deliberate move, fearing electoral defeat.
