BJP leader Pratul Shahdeo, on Sunday, criticized Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren following the latter's questioning of the timing of recent Income Tax raids in the state.
Shahdeo commented that Soren appeared unsettled, alleging that the raids disrupted efforts to channel significant hawala money for election purposes. Shahdeo queried why Soren would be frustrated if he had done nothing wrong.
Soren had earlier expressed concerns about the timing of these raids during a press conference, suggesting that the actions of investigative agencies are increasingly common during election periods.
