The incident, which took place while BJP MPs were protesting near an entry gate, led to Sarangi sustaining injuries and requiring hospital admission.

Sarangi contends that Gandhi's actions were unnecessary, as there was ample space for him to pass. He further claims that Gandhi displayed minimal concern after the incident.
