Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday paid homage to the martyrs of the Pulwama terror attack, lauding the decisive response led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi via airstrikes in Pakistan.

In the 2019 attack, 40 CRPF personnel were killed when a Jaish-e-Mohammad suicide bomber targeted their convoy on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway. Subsequently, Indian Air Force jets bombed terror camps in Balakot, Pakistan.

During the anniversary of the attack, Shah emphasized the impact of the airstrikes, stating they altered global perception of India, sending a strong message against terrorism, ensuring the safety of the nation's borders, and honoring the sacrifice of the fallen soldiers.
