YSRCP chief Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy has expressed strong disapproval of the recent arrest of Vallabhaneni Vamsi, a significant figure in the party and former Gannavaram MLA. Reddy holds the N Chandrababu Naidu-led NDA government accountable for Vamsi's safety in custody.

Vamsi was apprehended by Andhra Pradesh Police in Hyderabad on Thursday, linked to an alleged attack on the TDP Gannavaram office. He was subsequently brought before a local court and remanded for 14 days, with his current detention in a Vijayawada jail.

Reddy has accused the NDA government of misusing its power to suppress political opponents through arbitrary arrests, claiming these actions aim to distract from governmental failures by enacting politically charged and deceitful cases.
