The political realm in Maharashtra is abuzz with controversy as BJP MLA Suresh Dhas has called for the resignation of embattled state minister Dhananjay Munde. Accused of corruption and linked to a high-profile murder-extortion case, Munde's position has become increasingly untenable according to Dhas.

Munde, who represents Parli in Beed, finds himself engulfed in scandal following the arrest of his close associate, Walmik Karad, in connection with the gruesome murder of sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh. The incident took place on December 9 in Massajog, Beed district.

Amidst mounting allegations of corruption, involving over 180 crore in disputed state agriculture department deals, Dhas insists Munde step down temporarily. He suggests Munde may return if proven innocent, questioning why the minister is reluctant to relinquish his post amid such grave accusations.
