In a fiery response on Saturday, DMK MP A Raja lashed out at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for remarks suggesting that language-based divisions are being stoked in India. Raja accused the Prime Minister of fostering divisions himself and questioned the BJP's motives, asserting that it is the BJP, not regional parties, that is causing rifts.

Raja warned of strong resistance if Modi continues to address the language issue, hinting that frustration could echo in Parliament. Highlighting Tamil Nadu's concerns, Tamil Nadu Congress President Selvaperunthagai also criticized the BJP's alleged attempt to introduce RSS ideology through the three-language policy.

Prime Minister Modi, addressing misconceptions, stated on Friday that Indian languages have never experienced animosity but have instead influenced and enriched each other. Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan defended the government's stance, dismissing claims of language imposition under the National Education Policy, which is said not to compel Hindi learning in Tamil Nadu.
