In a bid to bolster regional security, India and Japan will participate in the 'Dharma Guardian' joint military exercise from February 24 to March 9. This year, the exercise will take place in Japan's East Fuji Manoeuvre Training area, focusing on urban warfare and counter-terrorism operations.

The initiative underlines the shared commitment of both nations to a free, open, and inclusive Indo-Pacific, according to the defense ministry's statement. The exercise aims to boost interoperability and operational capabilities between the two forces, featuring tactical drills, joint planning, and disaster response strategies.
