A political deadlock has gripped the Rajasthan Assembly following controversial remarks made by State Minister Avinash Gehlot about former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. On Tuesday, six suspended Congress MLAs were barred from entering the Assembly, fueling further tensions among party members.

Supporting their colleagues, other Congress MLAs refrained from attending the session, opting instead for a sit-in protest outside the Assembly, demanding an apology from the minister and a reversal of the suspensions. The suspended legislators, including the Pradesh Congress Committee Chief Govind Singh Dotasra, faced disciplinary action for "indecent behaviour" within the House.

Efforts to mediate the deadlock continued with discussions hosted by Speaker Vasudev Devnani, yet no resolution was found. The persistent conflict has resulted in multiple adjournments, disrupting the legislative process as Congress leaders claim diversion tactics to mask internal disagreements within the government.
