German businesses urge the new government for reduced bureaucracy, more efficient approvals, lower electricity costs, and tax relief. German companies have made a strong appeal to the incoming government, demanding drastic cuts in bureaucracy and swifter approvals, alongside more noticeable tax relief and lower electricity costs, according to the DIHK Chamber of Commerce and Industry's recent announcement.
In a survey, nearly 90% of 4,000 companies reported a decline in business conditions in Germany over the past four years. DIHK President Peter Adrian emphasized the urgency in addressing these issues, warning that significant trust has been undermined.
As coalition discussions loom, Germany's business leaders underscore the necessity for a new government to take swift action. They argue that Europe's largest economy must not delay, as it struggles with high costs, cumbersome regulations, and increasing foreign competition. The DIHK study reveals that 95% see cutting bureaucratic barriers as a top priority for the government.
