The Leader of Opposition in Kerala, V D Satheesan, has firmly dismissed reports suggesting a potential leadership shuffle within the Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC). Satheesan affirmed that no discussions have occurred regarding any change, specifically pertaining to K Sudhakaran's position as KPCC chief.

Speaking candidly to the media, Satheesan revealed that the All India Congress Committee (AICC) has summoned PCC leaders from numerous states to Delhi to deliberate on forthcoming assembly elections, but stressed these meetings are unrelated to leadership alterations. States like Kerala, Bihar, West Bengal, and Assam are on the 2026 electoral roadmap.

Satheesan’s comments arrive a day after Shashi Tharoor, a Congress Working Committee member, openly supported Sudhakaran’s continuation. Tharoor’s endorsement echoes Sudhakaran's statement acknowledging the high command’s authority in leadership decisions.
