Union Home Minister Amit Shah lauded the significant contributions of late Nanaji Deshmukh during a tribute program marking the 15th anniversary of Deshmukh's death. Shah emphasized the enduring impact of Deshmukh's life, crediting him with sparking change across generations.

Deshmukh's influence extended across art, politics, industries, and service sectors, Shah noted. His role in forming the Janata Party after India's Emergency period played a crucial part in reaffirming democratic principles, underscoring his pivotal contribution to the nation's political landscape.

Amit Shah also unveiled a statue of Jan Sangh founder Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya and inaugurated the renovated Ram Darshan complex. Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav also spoke, recognizing the legacy left by Deshmukh, especially during his time as Lok Sabha member from Balrampur, Uttar Pradesh.
