PDP leader Iltija Mufti has called on Lt Governor Manoj Sinha and Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat to expedite the investigation into the recent killings of three civilians in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua district.

Mufti expressed deep concern over the worsening security situation in the border district. She argued that while she was prevented from visiting the victims' families, BJP leaders were allowed to visit the same areas, indicating a clear political bias.

Besides condemning the manhandling of Independent MLA Rameshwar Singh, Mufti criticized the Chief Minister's alleged ignorance of recent events, including an inappropriate fashion show held in Gulmarg. She called for accountability and transparency from the government.
