On Wednesday, the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) spearheaded a wave of protests across Andhra Pradesh, rallying under the 'Yuvatha Poru' banner. Party leaders, activists, and students came together demanding the government address pending fee reimbursements, and objecting to the proposed privatization of medical colleges.

YSRCP's chief, Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, criticized the government’s negligence, highlighting unmet promises including the Rs 3,000 unemployment allowance and broader economic commitments. Reddy accused the administration of systemic inadequacies that disadvantage students and women, exacerbating their financial and educational challenges.

The protests also focused on unmet job creation promises and the privatization of medical institutions, which the party argues marginalizes economically weaker students. Clashes between protesters and police were reported, with YSRCP vowing continued demonstrations until government commitments are honored.
