Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has thrown his support behind the DMK's stance against the proposed delimitation of parliamentary constituencies, declaring it a significant issue for southern states. Reddy announced his intention to attend an upcoming meeting in Chennai, subject to Congress high command approval.

Reddy's comments followed a meeting with a DMK delegation led by Tamil Nadu minister TK Nehru in Delhi, who extended the invitation. The proposed delimitation has provoked concerns of regional bias, with Reddy accusing the BJP-led NDA government of targeting southern states under the guise of redistribution.

In contrast, Union Home Minister Amit Shah has assured southern states that they will not lose seats. Despite reassurances, the issue remains contentious, with DMK Chief Minister MK Stalin convening a meeting on March 22 to strategize against the delimitation exercise.
