Punjab's AAP Government Celebrates Milestones Amidst Criticism

In a stark comparison to the past Congress and Akali-BJP administrations, Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema enumerated the AAP government's notable achievements in the Punjab assembly. As part of the budget session's Governor's address discussion, Cheema emphasized the delivery of free electricity to 90% of domestic consumers, just three months post-government formation.

Cheema also announced the acquisition of a significant private thermal plant at Goindwal Sahib at a reduced cost, while criticizing the Congress for its handling of subsidy arrears and insufficient healthcare recruitment. AAP's introduction of 'Aam Aadmi Clinics' was praised for transforming healthcare, and investments over Rs 90,000 crore were credited to improved law and order.

Efforts against drug trafficking through the 'Yudh Nashian Virudh' campaign and sports initiatives were outlined by Cheema, who also assured robust debt management efforts and payroll enhancements for teachers. He condemned Congress's past governance for the introduction of gangster culture and drug proliferation, asserting the AAP's commitment to progress.
